No One’s Perfect

Overall I’m amazed by DublinBet, but there are one or two things I think they can improve (and that they probably will in time…)  It’s actually bloody amazing what they can do these days, isn’t it? Bring a live casino table to your laptop wherever you may be? Even so, I do have a couple of niggly complaints, er, suggestions.

First, I think they should make it much easier to switch from having the games in a window to having them fill your full screen. Full screen they look fantastic. However, if you’re popping in and out of the game, doing other things on your computer at the same time, you might want to switch to a window though. Right now, you have to leave your game, go to the Options menu, reset the Full Screen setting, and – at least on my good-but-not-fantastic laptop – wait for your computer to blink in and out.

Also, I can keep track of my account in Euros alright of course, but I’d rather see everything displayed in GBP.

One thing that drove me a bit mad was the shuffling process. I realize since they’re using actual cards they do have to be shuffled, in plain view. But somehow, online, the whole process seems overly laborious, to me anyway. Does give you a minute to nip to the kitchen for sustenance I suppose, but sometimes I’d like to just get on with the game a little more quickly.

I must say I like the pace of the games at DublinBet, though. I often find games go a little too quickly and find a slightly slower pace more relaxing. You can keep things hopping by playing more than one hand if you prefer a more fast-paced game.  That way you’re playing several hands against one of the dealer’s… If you like things to clip along you’ll appreciate there’s no dawdling between deals, average 20 seconds.

There are UK and Australian fax numbers posted on the site but there is no Customer Service telephone number and no Live Chat customer service either. Fortunately they provide excellent support by email.
