Progressive Blackjack
This standard six-deck Blackjack game from Playtech has an extra feature, a progressive sidebet. As in all Blackjack games the objective is to get your cards to total 21 without going over. As you are dealt each card you decide whether to Hit (take another card), Stand (stick with what you’ve got), Double (double your bet since the cards you have so far are so good) or Split (if you have 2 good cards of the same value you can play them as two separate hands, doubling your bet). But in this version of Blackjack there is another bet you can make for a chance at a progressive jackpot.
Progressive Jackpot Side Bet
In this game you have the option of making an additional bet to try and win a jackpot. To place a sidebet, just click on the coin slit above the bet area. The blinking light above the slit will turn green. The cost of the side bet is £1. Some of that goes to the progressive jackpot pool. If you get a winning card combination as described in the Progressive paytable, you get an additional payout. The highest progressive payout is the progressive jackpot and is won upon receiving four consecutive Aces of the same suit and starting from the first card in the hand. Note that all progressive wins require that the card combinations (one to four Aces) are consecutive and starting from the first card in the hand. These wins are awarded at the end of the game round, and if you’ve split your hand, they are calculated separately for each of the new hands.
The Progressive paytable is displayed when you click on Show Paytable on the left side of the screen, just under the ticker that shows the current size of the jackpot.
Each game has its own Jackpot, built up by all the casinos that offer the game.
The Jackpot for this game starts out with 50,000 seeded by the casino. 3% of each bet goes to the jack pot. To win the jackpot you need to play the jackpot side bet and then get four consecutive aces of the same suit, starting from the 1st card in the hand.
Multihand
You can also play this game in Multihand mode. This makes the game move much faster for the player since you don’t have to wait for other players to play their hands before you are dealt new cards. Select “Multihand” in the casino lobby when starting the game. You can play up to five hands at a time and place different bets on every hand or the same bet on every hand.
