Single Player European Double-Deck Blackjack

In the European version of Blackjack, the dealer isn’t dealt a hole card until everyone else’s hands have been completed. Split and Double Down rules are liberal though. Don’t let the name fool you – European Blackjack is popular in casinos around the world.

Cryptologic’s European Blackjack is played with two decks. You can play just one hand or up to five hands. The dealer stands on soft 17 or higher. Blackjack pays 3:2 and all other winning hands pay 1:1. Insurance, limited to ½ of the wager per hand, pays 2:1.

You may double down following a split. Surrender isn’t available in this game.

If you aren’t used to European Blackjack rules you can choose to just watch a game in play for awhile rather than take a seat at the table straight away.

Place Your Bet

To place your bet, first click on the chip that you wish to place and then click on the bet circle of the hand that you wish to bet on. Click again to add a chip of the same value. If you selected a chip that is less than the table minimum, the first click on the betting circle will place the minimum bet in the circle. You may bet on up to five hands.  When you’re ready, click on Deal and play begins.

Your account balance will be updated on the screen each time a chip is placed on the layout and each time a payout is made.

Once the cards have been dealt, you’ll have to decide whether to hit, stand, double down, or split.

If you do not have enough funds to place a split, double down, or insurance bet, you will receive a message and you may visit the cashier before continuing the hand if you wish. For definitions of these terms see Blackjack Vocabulary.

Preferences

You can adjust the speed of game play if cards are being dealt to quickly or slowly for your liking. You can also adjust settings for insurance bets and your player protection warnings. (The system can be set to let you know when you’ve wagered up to the limit you set for yourself.)

£2 – £50, £5 – £250, £25 – £500, £100 – £2000, £500 – £5000

You’ll love the all-new audio that has been included in European Blackjack for your enjoyment! Feel the excitement as your dealer wishes you luck, announces your score, and describes the results. On the fastest game speed setting, some of the audio will automatically shut off.
